Felicity Kelliher
My name is Felicity Kelliher. I am from Kerry in the Southwest of Ireland. I worked in a number of other countries over the years as an international project manager in the technology sector and see myself as a returned emigrant. I very much appreciated
the welcome I received in those countries and hope I welcome those who come to live in Ireland in the same way.
I moved into academia following a part-time MBA and completed my PhD in 2006.
I am a Professor of Management Practice at the South East Technological University (SETU), Waterford, where I lecture in management practice and change. I am an active researcher and research supervisor and am very interested in how small businesses and their owners develop skills that help them to build their businesses in a sustainable way. Our research centre, BRIM-RIKON, has engaged with over 1500 small businesses through applied research projects since 2007, and continues to contribute to community development. I was awarded the Knowledge Transfer Ireland Research2Business Collaborative Impact award in 2015 in recognition of this work, and I regularly publish in top tier international academic journals.
I am delighted to contribute to Waterford Integration Services as a Board
member, believing that collectively, we are a powerful community.

Sinéad Cummins
My name is Sinéad Cummins, and I am Waterford Libraries representative on the board of
Waterford Integration Services since 2019. As a committee member of Waterford Integration
Services, I work for and on behalf of the library service in its work to improve services to migrant and diverse communities in Waterford.
I studied and worked in the tourism and hospitality sectors in Ireland, France, and the UK before
beginning work with Waterford Libraries in 2000 as a library assistant. While with Waterford
Libraries I studied Information and Library Studies with Aberystwyth University to gain my
professional qualification in Librarianship. I have worked in almost all areas of the library service
from background work in Headquarters to frontline roles in Ardkeen, Tramore and currently Central
Library.
My current role in Central Library is quite varied as alongside working in the branch and guiding our
staff team I look after integration services, social inclusion, stock purchasing, the Work Matters at
the Library programme and am a member of our digital developments and Europe Direct teams.
Being a member of the Europe Direct team and as part of my work for integration and social
inclusion I would work closely with Waterford Integration Services to organise and support events throughout the year, the highlight each year being Waterford’s Global Women’s Conference to mark International Women’s Day. I am the Work Matters at the Library coordinator for Waterford
Libraries and the Work Matters service supports business and employment, helping job seekers,
those changing career and new, small, and micro business through a range of library resources and
services both online and in branch.
Originally from Carlow I moved to Tramore at an early age. I grew up in Tramore and even though I
left to study and work abroad at heart I missed the sea. I am thankful to be able to live and raise a
family in a place that I love.
The work that Waterford Integration Services does for our newest residents is vital to creating a Waterford for all to love and enjoy as I do, and I hope that as a board member I can do some small part in helping to make this happen.

Osas Iyamu Usideme
Osas Iyamu Usideme is originally from Nigeria and worked as an Intercultural Health Advocate with the
Intercultural Health Hub in Waterford & South Tipperary Community Youth Services until recently when she became a freelance in Health Education and Advocacy. Her work was primarily with International Protection Applicants/Refugees in the Southeast region’s Accommodation Centres and New Communities. Osas’s journey to becoming a renowned advocate took work. Arriving in Ireland in 2003 as an IPA, she found herself in a Direct Provision Centre, facing the same health issues as many others. Despite these challenges, Osas’s determination and passion for helping others never wavered. Her journey is a testament to her resilience and commitment, and this journey has shaped her into the advocate she is today.
While living in the Direct Provision Centre, Osas began an epic education journey. Receiving her Status in Ireland was a turning point in Osas’s life. Despite the initial challenges, including the lack of entitlement to initial grants privilege, she remained steadfast in her pursuit of education. Her resilience and commitment eventually led her to achieve a Degree in Psychology from Waterford Institute of Technology and a Master’s Degree in Applied Psychology in Mental Health from Ulster University, Derry. Today, Osas is a respected advocate and speaker, using her voice to champion the health and human rights of other displaced migrants
and families.
With her infectious smile, Osas loves cooking spicy foods, shopping, and looking good as an oracle of self-care.
However, her greatest passion is CARING and GIVING, and this shows through her voluntary activities as a Director and Board Member of Waterford Integration Service since 2021 and a Play Volunteer with Children in Hospital Ireland since 2018. In addition to having fluent English, Osas also speaks Italian (proficient) and
Spanish (basic) alongside several Nigerian languages (Pidgin, Edo, Urhobo, and Igbo).

Julieann Phelan
My name is Julieann Phelan,
I joined Waterford Integration Services in December 2020 after completing my postgraduate studies in Immigration and Asylum Law, in the Kings Inn Dublin. This was subsequent to completing my LLB (Bachelor of Laws) Degree in Waterford in 2018 where my interest in International and Human Rights accelerated from.
I joined the Board in WIS to be part of a network of individuals who strive to help the vulnerable members of our society to find a sense of inclusion and acceptance and to work alongside those who have human rights at the core of their personal values – and that is exactly what I found.
Although I do not deal with any of the frontline services of WIS, I still observe and appreciate all the remarkable work that the team put in, within the community, and it makes me proud to be a part of this organisation.
I am currently working as an Immigration Officer for the Department of Justice and I strongly endorse the WIS as a vital and progressive unit for the Waterford region and beyond.
