
EU Direct Centre Waterford The Europe Direct
The centre offers information on all sorts of subjects related to the EU including your rights and opportunities as an EU citizen and how to take advantage of them. It can provide direct responses to general inquiries and, if you have more detailed questions, signpost you to the best source of information and advice at EU, national, regional and local levels. The Europe Direct initiative was launched in Ireland in 2005.

Waterford Libraries
Waterford Libraries has 12 public branches spread throughout Waterford City and County, with a centrally located headquarters on the outskirts of Waterford City. Our libraries are regularly used by 16,000 members and record in excess of 500,000 visits and 500,000 loans annually. Library Membership is FREE and open to everyone. Theatre Royal Waterford
The Theatre Royal in Waterford City, one of the most atmospheric and historic theatres in Ireland, is available as a venue for conferences and corporate launches, with the added inhouse option of live streaming your event to ‘virtual’ delegates all over the world. In the 220 years since the establishment of the Georgian playhouse which was subsequently adapted in the late nineteenth century to become the Theatre Royal we know today, Waterford has been renowned for its local musical and dramatic traditions.

UNHCR
UNHCR has had a continuous presence in Ireland since 1998. We work with the Irish government, officials, ngos and other partners to protect people forced to flee their homes and support them to live their lives with dignity and respect. Ireland has acceded to the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees and its 1967 Protocol. UNHCR’s supervisory role in relation to compliance with the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees is recognised in national legislation (The International Protection Act 2015).

Waterford City and County Council
Establishment of the Organisation Waterford City and County Council (Comhairle Cathrach agus Contae Phort Lairge) is the authority responsible for local government in the City & County of Waterford, Ireland. The organisation came into operation on 1st June 2014 after that year’s local elections, and is a merger of Waterford City Council and Waterford County Council, as brought about under the provisions of the Local Government Reform Act 2014.
